East Dunbartonshire Befriending Scheme Volunteers

That the Parliament commends Elaine McCulloch, June Fraser and Jeanette Baird who have volunteered for 10 years with the East Dunbartonshire Young Persons Befriending Scheme, which supports young people who are often vulnerable; notes that the Scheme pairs its young service users with adults and holds weekly group activities; acknowledges that, despite the COVID-19 crisis, this support has continued with remote communication and through the sending of craft materials and games for the young people to enjoy at home; acknowledges the considerable contribution of Elaine, June and Jeanette, and thanks them for their incredible commitment to improving the lives of young people in East Dunbartonshire.
