Scotland Double at ICC Awards of the Decade

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen’s Kyle Coetzer on being named by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as the Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Decade at the recent Awards of the Decade ceremony; recognises that Coetzer, the current Scotland captain, was nominated alongside teammates, Richie Berrington and Calum McLeod, while the Scotland women’s captain, Kathryn Bryce, completed a double for Scotland by winning the Women’s Associate Cricketer of the Decade award, beating her sister, Sarah, who was also nominated for the prestigious award; understands that the winners of the ICC Awards of the Decade were decided by votes from an expert panel and from cricket fans from around the world, and welcomes the worldwide recognition of the progress that Scottish cricket has made in the last decade.
