That the Parliament congratulates Gunsgreen House Trust, Haining Charitable Trust and Borders College on being named in the latest round of funding released to local organisations in the Scottish Borders by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF); understands that both the Gunsgreen House Trust and Haining Charitable Trust plan to refurbish parts of their respective buildings to improve accessibility and visitor numbers, and that Borders College plans to fund three projects that will increase employability opportunities for those out of work, boost skills for local businesses, and allow feasibility work to help meet the growing demand for land-based skills to be undertaken across the Scottish Borders; believes that many organisations across Scotland have benefited from the UKSPF, which, it considers, provides levelling up opportunities for communities across the country; further believes that the UKSPF allows local community leaders from across the UK to improve their communities, unshackled from previous EU restrictions; understands that over £2.5 billion in total has been earmarked by the UK Government for the UKSPF, and wishes the recipients of the funding well in achieving the UKSPF goal of levelling up the UK.
