Kinross-shire Volunteer Group and Rural Outreach Scheme

That the Parliament sends its congratulations to the Kinross-shire Volunteer Group and Rural Outreach Scheme on receiving Age Scotland’s national award for Services to Older People and being recognised for 40 years of service to the local community; commends the selfless dedication of its volunteers, who provide transport for rural residents in Kinross-shire and take them to their essential engagements, including hospital and dentistry appointments, and for groceries and haircuts, and understands that the group completed 2,900 volunteer hours and over 5,000 miles in order to provide assistance to its over 300 clients.
