  • Motion reference: S6M-12415

That the Parliament congratulates Edinburgh man and a former pupil of George Watson’s College, Josh Kerr, on an incredibly exciting win in the World Athletics Indoor 3,000 metres, held in Glasgow earlier in March 2024; understands that this has been Josh’s second global title in little over six months; recognises that this was a longer race distance than his usual 1,500 metres and that he ran an exceptionally fast final 400 metres; congratulates all of the British athletes who competed at the games in Glasgow, and wishes Josh all the best ahead of the Olympic Games this summer in Paris.
